Local Produce

We are delighted to be able to offer a small selection of local produce grown on anglesey. It includes courgette green and yellow, broad beans, mixed peppers and a selection of chillies ranging from “cool” to “super hot”. We are constantly searching for supplies of welsh produce and will keep you informed as we add to our range.

Produce News

The summer has finally arrived and with it comes a wonderful selection of fruits, Cherries, raspberries, redcurrants, and of course British strawberries. Plums, apricots, peaches and nectarines from Spain, together with greengage from France.

Sadly the British Asparagus season is now closing, though we hope to be able to continue for a week or so yet. The home grown season for Parsnips is due to get under way any time now and although the price is a little higher, the sweet taste makes them well worth the extra. Runner beans are again about to start, always worth considering but don’t leave it to long as the season is short. Our supplies of Anglesey potatoes have proved a winner and we now have a variety which can be used as a chipper.

Produce Alert

For some reason (we think demand outstripping supply) the price of red and yellow peppers is proving to be more expensive than normal. Cauliflowers are also going to be another problem over the next week or two as these are between seasons. Oranges are still in short supply and as a result remain priced higher than usual.
